Canon has announced a new ultra-wide angle lens for the EOS R mirrorless camera system. The first L-series lens to feature a Stepping Motor (STM), the RF 10-20mm f4L IS STM offers the widest angle yet for the RF mount (bar the specialist Dual fisheye lens) along with near-silent operation. Taking its cue from the professional EF 11-24mm f4L USM lens, this new design shaves 2cm in length and width off the dimensions, as well as more than 50% of the weight. First announced in April, Canon has revealed more information about its professional full frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R3. After teasing in the first press release that a new subject type is coming for the autofocus detection system, Canon has confirmed that the EOS R3 will be able to track moving cars and motorbikes, making it an ideal tool for motorsports photographers. This is in addition to the two current subjects – people and animals – that the EOS R5 and R6 have already showcased. Canon has also teased that the EOS R3 will be able to achieve focus down to EV -7, giving even greater opportunities in low light situations. Canon today announces the launch of the Macro Twin Lite MT-26EX-RT – a powerful, high-performance specialist flash for professional photography. Canon has launched a new innovative lens. Designed for macro and close-up photography, the EF-S 35mm f2.8 Macro IS STM features Canon’s unique built-in Macro Lite technology and is the first lens of its kind in the EF-S range. Canon UK is launching a range of branded clothing and accessories - from vintage camera t-shirts to umbrellas and bibs A selection of the new merchandise has been designed to celebrate the 30 th anniversary of the EOS system and features cameras from the EOS archive. Plus, the vintage series includes designs from the original Canon camera “Kwanon” logo, first introduced in 1934.
