Canon has announced the successor to its popular full frame EOS R6 mirrorless camera. The EOS R6 Mark II is the fastest EOS camera to date. It can shoot at up to 40 frames per second (fps) via the electronic shutter, and up to 12fps with the mechanical shutter. Canon says the Mark II is 80% faster than the original R6. It does share many features and benefits with the original EOS R6, but exceeds it in a number of areas. Whilst the Mark II is powered by the same DIGIC X processor as its R-series siblings, it features a brand new 24.3MP CMOS sensor.  It’s more intelligent too.   Today Canon officially unveils the EOS R3, its new flagship full frame mirrorless camera aimed at sports photographers and reportage journalists. It's fast and furious, incredibly well-connected and offers more than 100 tweaks, improvements and new features over previous cameras. The EOS R3 is a blend of the EOS-1D X Mark III and the EOS R5. Canon has reimagined its full frame mirrorless range, with the introduction of two new EOS R models – the EOS R5 and EOS R6. Bearing similarities across the two cameras' features sets, the R5 and R6 both offer exceptional opportunities to photographers, with 12 frames per second (fps) shooting rates, extended to 20fps with the electronic shutter, latest DIGIC X processing power and, for the first time in an EOS camera, 5-stop in-body image stabilisation (IS) which works with existing lens IS to offer up to 8 stops of stabilisation benefit. Exactly a month since its development announcement of the EOS R5 – a full frame mirrorless camera built on the revolutionary EOS R system – Canon Inc. reveals additional information. Achieving the ‘impossible’, Canon Inc. confirms the EOS R5’s video capabilities will far exceed that of competing cameras on the market. With its ability to internally record 8K using the full width of the sensor at up to 30p, the latest Canon EOS R camera is set to redefine mirrorless with its market-leading features.
