Canon has released the first wave of firmware updates to resolve the Picture Transfer Protocol security flaw identified in Wi-Fi enabled EOS cameras. Firmware is available for the following cameras: EOS 5D Mark III – version 1.3.6 EOS 5D Mark IV – version 1.2.1 EOS 5DS – version 1.1.3 EOS 5DS R – version 1.1.3 EOS-1D X – version 2.1.1 EOS-1D X Mark II – version 1.1.7 Updates for other affected Canon EOS cameras are expected to be released in due course. These follow the firmware update already released for the EOS 80D DSLR camera . Ensure that you read the instructions contained within the downloaded firmware update from the Canon UK website.
