The Photography Show returns in September 2022

It's official – The Photography Show will return to the NEC, Birmingham later this year! This must-attend live event for photographers, videographers and content creators will take place over a four-day period from Saturday 17 until Tuesday 20 September. The show brings together over 250 of the biggest international brands – including Canon – alongside a packed programme of demos, talks, workshops and networking opportunities. The event caters for all levels; from total beginner to practising professional. Canon Camera Store Week: 28 March - 3 April 2022

Canon's Camera Store Week is all about celebrating the knowledge, passion and exceptional service that customers can expect from Canon UK's network of camera retailers. As part of the week-long event, Canon is co-hosting a series of exciting talks, demos and exclusive offers, plus there will be Canon specialists in selected stores to offer you their expert advice. Highlights this week include: Tuesday 29 March, 7pm (BST) – Canon Ambassador Wanda Martin talks about Fashion & Portrait Photography. Facebook Live talk hosted by London Camera Exchange Wednesday 30 March, 7pm (BST) – EOS magazine's former Technical Editor David Newton is giving an online session via Zoom entitled 'Frame your World' , all about landscape photography, camera settings and lenses, run in conjunction with Wilkinson Cameras. Thursday 31 March, 7pm (BST) – Join Park Cameras and Jade Keisha Gordon for a Facebook Live session on portraiture . Saturday 2 April, 11.30am and 2.30pm (BST)

Canon Young People Programme: Climate Change exhibition

Canon has announced details of a ten-day exhibition which features a series of images, highlighting the concerns of young people around climate change. The work has been created by pupils of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School (QEGS) in Derbyshire, under the guidance of former pupil and celebrated photographer, Canon Ambassador Clive Booth – as well as experts from the Canon Young People Programme (YPP).   The exhibition, which runs until Wednesday 30 March 2022, features seven pieces of artwork created by Year 12 pupils at the school and is the result of a series of photography and digital storytelling workshops. Firmware v1.5.2 released for EOS R5 and R6

As promised, Canon has released AF (autofocus) firmware updates for the EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras. Firmware version 1.5.2 for the EOS R5 incorporates the following enhancements: 1. Optimises autofocus accuracy when Extender RF 1.4x or Extender RF 2x is attached to the RF 800mm f5.6L IS USM and RF 1200mm f8L IS USM lenses. 2. Enhances the stability of Eye Detection. 3.
