Firmware version 1.8.0 for the EOS R7 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes: 1. Improves display settings when using the RF-S 7.8mm f4 STM Dual lens and adds [3:2] and [1:1] as new selectable options for [Still img. aspect ratio]. 2. Fixes an issue in which Err70 may occur during Bluetooth communication due to interference from other Bluetooth devices. 3. Fixes an issue in which Err70 may occur when repeatedly shooting in the "High-speed continuous shooting +" mode. 4. Improves other system stability. If the camera's firmware is already version 1.8.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware. The update can be downloaded free of charge from your local Canon website. Canon has released updated firmware for the EOS R7 and EOS R10 APS-C mirrorless cameras, adding support for the Speedlite EL-5 and newly released RF-S 55-210mm f5-7.1 IS STM lens.  Firmware version 1.3.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes: 1. Adds support for Speedlite EL-5.* *The automatic light intensity adjustment of the AF-assist beam is not supported. 2. Adds support for the RF-S 55-210mm f5-7.1 IS STM. 3. Fixes minor issues. Canon has released new firmware for the EOS R7 and EOS R10 APS-C mirrorless cameras. This update adds a singular function – the option to use Canon's new Cloud RAW processing service which also launches today. Firmware version 1.1.0 incorporates the following enhancement: 1. Supports Cloud RAW image processing.* It is necessary to purchase a subscription plan for Cloud RAW image processing from Canon. The service will start on 25 July 2022. *Please note that before the firmware is updated, images added using the [Add images to process] option cannot be processed, so please use the [Check/remove selected images] option to cancel image processing. Canon Europe has announced details of a new branch for the EOS family tree, specifically for the EOS R mirrorless camera system. Encompassing newly developed APS-C sensors – which are around 62% of the size of full frame sensors – the EOS R7 and EOS R10 cameras offer two entry points for amateur and enthusiast photographers, as well as content creators, to take advantage of the technology and benefits of the EOS R system. Also launched at the same time are two new lenses, designed specifically for the APS-C format. The RF-S lens line-up starts with two kit lenses – the RF-S 18-45mm f4.5-6.3 IS STM and the RF-S 18-150mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM. The smaller image circle created by the RF-S lenses matches the smaller size of the APS-C sensor, whilst still promising excellent image quality as well as optical performance.
