Firmware fixes for EOS R6, R6 Mark II and R7 cameras


Canon has released minor firmware updates for the EOS R6, R6 Mark II and R7 cameras.

Firmware version 1.8.2 for the EOS R6 incorporates the following fixes:
1. Improves the stability of the touch operation control when the [Touch control] is set to [Sensitive].
2. Fixes minor issues.

Firmware version 1.1.2 for the EOS R6 Mark II incorporates the following fixes:
1. Improves the stability of the touch operation control when the [Touch control] is set to [Sensitive].
2. Fixes an issue that may result in only one battery being charged when the BG-R10 Battery Grip is attached.

Firmware version 1.3.1 for the EOS R7 incorporates the following fix:
1. Improves the stability of the touch operation control when the [Touch control] is set to [Sensitive].

The firmware updates can be downloaded free of charge from the Canon Support portal. As well as the firmware file, the download package contains detailed instructions for updating your camera's firmware.

Firmware updates for EOS R1 and R5 Mark II

Canon has released new firmware for its flagship EOS R1 camera (version 1.0.2) as well as the EOS R5 Mark II (version 1.0.3), both of which offer the following enhancement and fix: 1. Optimizes the timing of the camera's display of its internal camera temperature warning indicator. 2. Fixes an issue that may interfere with the camera's ability to focus properly when using AF (autofocus) in certain zoom ranges. For the EOS R5 Mark II, Canon advises that if the camera's firmware is Version 1.0.1, you should update the firmware with only one memory card inserted into the camera. You should always read the instructions that come with the firmware update, as there are often details specific to that update, as with the EOS R5 Mark II (above).
