Canon has released the final wave of firmware updates to fix the potential security flaw relating to the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) originally identified in August 2019. The final EOS cameras to receive the fix are as follows: Canon EOS 77D – version 1.0.3 Canon EOS 800D/Rebel T7i – version 1.0.2 Canon EOS 750D/Rebel T6i – version 1.0.1 Canon EOS 200D/Rebel SL2 –  version 1.0.1 Canon EOS 2000D – version 1.0.1 Canon EOS 4000D – version 1.0.1 Canon EOS 1300D – version 1.1.1 Canon EOS M6 – version 1.0.1 Canon EOS M5 – version 1.0.2 Canon EOS M3 – version 1.2.1 Canon EOS M2 – version 1.0.4 Canon EOS M10 – version 1.1.1 Canon EOS M100 – version 1.0.1 The firmware updates offer the following fixes: 1. Corrects a PTP communications vulnerability. 2. Corrects a vulnerability related to firmware update. Canon has released a firmware update for its smallest current DSLR camera, the EOS 200D (Rebel SL2). Firmware Version 1.0.1 incorporates the following fix: 1. Corrects an erroneous display that may appear when some third-party accessories are attached to the hot shoe. Firmware Version 1.0.1 is for cameras with firmware Version 1.0.0.
