Canon has today announced two new additions to the EOS R system, the EOS C50 Cinema EOS camera and the RF 85mm f1.4L VCM lens. EOS C50 – compact cinematography tool A new entry point to Canon's Cinema EOS range, the EOS C50 is a stepping stone from the PowerShot V-series and recent EOS V-series cameras across to the Cinema series. It's a highly specced video tool, offering 7K video, as well as 4K oversampled from 7K, Open Gate recording, the ability to record a cropped version of your video footage automatically as well as Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3. Although the C50 is video-first, it also offers a Photo mode for stills, driven by an all-new 32MP sensor and capable of 40 frames per second (fps).
