Canon has given details of a number of compatibility issues with the new macOS 10.12 (Sierra) operating system which will affect a selection of their software packages and products. If you own an affected product or software item, Canon strongly advises that you do not upgrade your operating system until confirmation of full functionality has been provided. Canon is planning to provide further information by the end of September. Until now, Mac users who have updated their operating system (OS) to version 10.7 (Lion) have not been able to use the most recent version of EOS Utility. That changes with the introduction of EOS Utility version 2.10.4. EOS Utility is an application that brings together all of the functions required to communicate with the camera.
