Firmware updates for EOS-1D Mark IV, 1D Mark III, 1Ds Mark III

Canon has released firmware upgrades for three of its professional EOS models Firmware version 1.1.4 for the EOS-1D Mark IV Firmware version 1.3.2 for the EOS-1D Mark III Firmware version 1.2.3 for the EOS-1Ds Mark III incorporate the same two fixes: •  Resolves the following phenomenon: when the camera is not attached to a lens, power consumption may be higher than usual, causing premature battery drain. •  Resolves a phenomenon in which 'Err 02' ('Err 70' on the EOS-1D Mark III and 1Ds Mark III) may be displayed when the shutter is released without a lens attached. Shooting football with Brighton and Hove Albion

On Saturday 27 July 2013, Park Cameras will be conducting a unique photographic masterclass at the American Express Community Stadium, home to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. Participants will have the opportunity to photograph a friendly match against Spanish team Villareal from the unique perspective of the touch line. Prior to this, there will be a detailed tour of the stadium and a presentation given by the official Brighton & Hove Albion photographer who will share his considerable knowledge as to tips and tricks in order to ensure participants capture the best images possible during the match and beyond. This is event aimed at Canon shooters with a decent working knowledge of photography who are looking to extend their experience. New EF-M lens will not be sold in the USA

The EF-M 11-22mm f4-5.6 IS STM was announced in the UK and Ireland on 6 June 2013. It should be available in July - but not in the USA. On 6 July 2013, a Canon moderator on the Canon USA Forum site said: "Unfortunately, this specific lens will not be sold or serviced by Canon USA." No reason for this decision has been given.
