Canon has launched its latest R-system camera, the EOS C80, an RF mount cinema camera. Building upon the legacy of the EOS R5 C and EOS C70, the EOS C80 blends cutting-edge technology with a compact and ergonomic design. The 6K full-frame CMOS sensor at the heart of the EOS C80 means it produces exceptionally low noise, increased sensitivity efficiency, and better 4K imagery via 6K oversampling. All this is possible thanks to the improved light capture technology of the back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor, as seen in the EOS C400 released earlier this year. The EOS C80 integrates Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology with precise and responsive autofocus capabilities. Pin-sharp face, eye, and head tracking, as well as new body and animal tracking, ensures the subject remains in focus even in complex shots.
