Canon has released a number of firmware updates to correct for a phenomenon in which when using an EOS camera with the EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS II USM lens, even if lens aberration correction is set to 'Enable', no correction will be applied. Canon has issued firmware Version 1.1.5 for the EOS 700D (Rebel T5i). This update incorporates the following fix: Corrects a phenomenon in which when using the camera with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM or EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens, even if lens aberration correction is set to 'Enable', correction will not be applied. Firmware Version 1.1.5 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.1.4. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.1.5, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Firmware Version 1.1.4 for the EOS 700D / Rebel T5i / KISS X7i incorporates the following fixes and improvements: 1. Fixes a phenomenon in which focus may not be adjusted with specific lenses when shooting remotely with EOS Utility software. 2. Fixes a phenomenon in which LCD brightness may not be adjusted after pressing the SET button if Menu Display is assigned to the SET button in the Custom Functions setting (C.Fn-7). 3. Firmware Version 1.1.3  for the EOS 700D incorporates the following fixes. 1. Fixes a fault in which the camera displays Err 01 or Err 60, or in rare instances will lock-up when in Live View shooting mode (or Movie shooting mode) when attached to the following STM zoom lenses: - EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM - EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM - EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM 2.
