It's official – The Photography Show will return to the NEC, Birmingham later this year! This must-attend live event for photographers, videographers and content creators will take place over a four-day period from Saturday 17 until Tuesday 20 September. The show brings together over 250 of the biggest international brands – including Canon – alongside a packed programme of demos, talks, workshops and networking opportunities. The Photography Show & The Video Show returns to the Birmingham NEC this year from 18 to 21 September 2021.   Canon's first live event in two years, the show promises to showcase a wealth of content. Visit the Canon stand to discover more about its latest technology, speak to a host of experts and learn best practice from an exciting and inspiring line up of speakers. Canon has two stage areas for you to enjoy. Its Spotlight Stage will feature a broad variety of talks and subject matter, from Canon Ambassadors Marc Aspland and Eddie Keogh talking sports photography, environmental and natural world photography from Chris Packham and Camille Seaman, as well as leading professionals sharing their expertise from the fields of fashion, family and wedding photography. Enjoy a range of free talks from Canon at The Photography Show and The Video Show Spring Shoots Virtual Festival, taking place online on 6 and 7 March 2021. Canon’s speaker line-up has just been announced, which will deliver inspirational talks for aspiring and established photographers alike. In addition, the Canon Live chat team will be on hand to answer any technical product questions throughout the show. The Photography Show and The Video Show, postponed from March 2020 to September 2020, will not being going ahead at the NEC this year, due to continued uncertainty around hosting large events. However, the organisers have announced that, for the first time ever, the shows will take place as a virtual festival on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 September 2020. The event will be free to attend from the comfort of your own home. We will post more information as it becomes available. Next year the show will return to its home at the NEC from 18 to 21 September 2021. All entry tickets and passes booked and confirmed for the 2020 event will remain valid. The organisers of The Photography Show and The Video Show, which was planned to take place at the NEC from 14-17 March 2020, have announced both events will be postponed until Summer 2020 following the escalation of COVID-19 in Europe. Speaking about the announcement, Jonny Sullens, Head of Events at Future, said: “To date, we have been following government guidelines regarding the continuation of our event during this unprecedented outbreak of Coronavirus. As the news has been progressing, we have listened to the concerns of all parties. And today we have taken the extremely difficult decision to postpone The Photography Show and The Video Show until later in the year. “We are incredibly disappointed to take this action so close to the event opening, however the wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is of the utmost importance. The Photography Show, held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, is a permanent and much anticipated fixture in our calendar, and it was great to be back there from 16 March 2019 for four photography-filled days. Our EOS magazine stand at the show is right next to the Canon stand, and this has significant advantages. Firstly it means you can find us easily... and secondly we can pop across to get hands on with the latest gear at the drop of a hat! We went for the lenses... and stayed for the ballet! The Canon stand was buzzing for much of the show. There was plenty to see – with a viewing gallery, full camera range on display including the Cinema EOS system as part of The Video Show, and inspirational talks on the Spotlight Stage delivered by Canon Ambassadors and experts. The new EOS R system was clearly a big attraction, and with the EOS R reportedly sold out on day three, it certainly drew the attention of many a visitor.
