Following Canon's announcement in August 2019 that it was working on firmware for a number of its cameras to address a security flaw associated with the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP), it has now released firmware for the following cameras:
1. Corrects a PTP communications vulnerability.
2. Corrects a vulnerability related to firmware update.
When updating the firmware, please review the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware.
Firmware updates for the EOS R-series, EOS-1D X-series and EOS 5D-series have already been released.
