There is a vulnerability related to communications via the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP), which is used by some EOS digital cameras. There is also a vulnerability related to firmware updates.
So far, there are no confirmed reports of cameras being affected, but Canon has drawn up a list of workarounds to avoid potential problems. They are also working on firmware updates for at-risk cameras. Firmware version 1.0.3 for the EOS 80D has already been introduced. Updates for other models will follow.
