EOS R5 C firmware update 1.1.0.1

  Firmware Version 1.1.0.1 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes: 1. Enables functions to be used without limitation in conjunction with the new Battery Pack LP-E6P. This makes it possible to shoot 59.94P with RAW LT. 2. Enables the display of the digital tele-converter icon on [Main Recording Displays] of [DISP Level 2]. 3. Canon announces new wide-angle zoom, the RF 16-28mm f2.8 IS STM

Canon has today announced the introduction of a brand new ultra-wide zoom lens for the EOS R mirrorless system. Compact and lightweight for a lens of this type, the RF 16-28mm f2.8 IS STM lens is physically similar to the RF 28-70mm f2.8 IS STM and uses a retractable design to reduce its size when stored away. The lens offers 5.5-stops of optical image stabilisation, which increases to 8 stops when used on a camera with in-body image stabilisation. It's weather-resistance, despite not being an L-series lens. Designed with two Aspheric lens elements and four Ultra-low dispersion elements, the focus has been on creating a lens which is portable, more affordable but which still offers excellent image quality free from distortions common to wider angle lenses.
