Firmware updates for two RF lenses

Firmware update version 1.0.4 for the RF 24-70mm f2.8L IS USM and firmware update version 2.01 for the RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM have been released.

These updates incorporate the following enhancement:
- Reduces colour unevenness when capturing images using long (Bulb) exposure mode with the EOS Ra. (Manual focus cannot be activated during exposure. And performing zoom operations during exposure, the subject may be out of focus.)

The firmware version of the lens can be checked from the camera's menu screen.

You can download the firmware update from the Canon website – select the tab for RF lenses and select the relevant lens from the list.

Canon released a number of firmware updates in March 2024, as follows: EOS R3 – version 1.7.1 1. Firmware updates have been introduced for five Canon EOS cameras. EOS-1D X Mark III: firmware version 1.8.0 1.
