The Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R gives extra functionality over the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, giving greater control and allowing you to personalise your EF lenses with the customisable ring.

Simply purchase an EOS R kit and Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R from any participating retailer before 10 January2019 and claim your cashback of £175. The promotion applies to products purchased between 5 September 2018 and 10 January 2019, however the cashback can only be claimed during the promotional period by CPS members with a valid membership number.

EOS 700D firmware update v1.1.5

Canon has issued firmware Version 1.1.5 for the EOS 700D (Rebel T5i). This update incorporates the following fix:

Corrects a phenomenon in which when using the camera with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM or EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens, even if lens aberration correction is set to 'Enable', correction will not be applied.

Firmware Version 1.1.5 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.1.4. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.1.5, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Digital Photo Professional updated with new Depth Compositing feature

Digital Photo Professional, Canon's own RAW editing software, has been updated to version 4.10.0. This latest version adds a new Depth Compositing function for images captured via the new Focus Bracketing feature introduced on the EOS RP, Canon's new full frame mirrorless camera for advanced amateur and enthusiast photographers.

Canon says that the Depth Compositing function is also compatible with images captured on the EOS 5D Mark IV and EOS R.
