Firmware update for Connect Station CS100

Canon has announced an update to the Connect Station CS100. Firmware version 2.5 introduces the ability to transfer movie from smart devices to your Connect Station via the dedicated Connect Station app. The new update also adds faster imports speeds, with transfers from a computer over networks in a third of the time. Other new features include infinite looping of an album on a screen and the ability to turn off auto-standby completely. EOS-1D X Mark II firmware version 1.1.3 released

Firmware Version 1.1.3 for the EOS-1D X Mark II camera incorporates the following improvements: 1. Corrects a phenomenon in which the drive mode icon is not correctly displayed when using custom shooting modes (C1/C2/C3). 2. Changes the maximum number of 'Release cycles' displayed from 1,000,000 cycles to 9,999,000 cycles. This value can be checked under the 'Camera system information' menu. 3. Improves the reliability of communication via USB cable when using the Lens Data Registration function within EOS Utility 3 software. Firmware v1.1.3 is for EOS-1D X Mark II cameras with firmware version 1.1.2 or earlier. If the camera's firmware is already v1.1.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating the firmware of your camera, please read the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware. The firmware update takes approximately six minutes. Two new EOS cameras to suit your photography level

Following on from the path laid by the 750D and 760D, these two new cameras offer a very similar specification but a different level of control and way of working, depending on the stage you're at in your photographic journey. Canon adds EOS M6 to its mirrorless line-up

EOS M6 with built-in flash The EOS M6 makes its debut today, offering all of the functionality and features of the popular M5 in a smaller, more compact body. Equipped with a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF with 45 cross-type AF points, DIGIC 7 processor and two top thumb dials, this powerful camera offers control and quality. New Bluetooth Remote Controller BR-E1

Alongside the two new EOS DSLRs announced today – which both feature Bluetooth connectivity – Canon launches the Remote Controller BR-E1. Offering the same features as the popular Canon RC-6, this new remote has the advantage of firing the camera shutter for both stills and movies from any angle within a 5 metre radius of compatible cameras thanks to Bluetooth technology, unlike the RC-6's need for line-of-site with its infrared beam. At launch the BR-E1 is compatible with the EOS 77D and EOS 800D. New Canon 18-55mm kit lens

Canon today announces a new EF-S kit lens for its APS-C camera, like the new EOS 800D and 77D. The EF-S 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS STM is the smallest non-retractable kit lens of its focal range and the first 18-55mm lens from Canon to feature STM (Stepper Motor technology) for near-silent movie recording. Measuring just 61.8mm long and weighing only 215g, the lens has a 4-stop Image Stabilizer and a seven blade circular aperture.
